The key technological innovation in this upgrade for the 200G data center is the development of high-performance 200G DR4/FR4 optical modules based on 4X50G PAM4 DML technology. These modules utilize PAM4 DML lasers and high linearity PAM4 DML drivers, providing significant cost and power savings compared to the previous use of EML technology.
