FIBERSTAMP unveil 100G QSFP28 DWDM4 and Non-Coherent Subsystem for COLOR ZR+ Solutions!

Singapore, March 6, 2024– Long-distance data transmission operates through two distinct modes: coherent and non-coherent. Today, FIBERSTAMP officially unveils two trailblazing 100G QSFP28 PSM DWDM4 for Non-Coherent long-distance Subsystem. These modules, built upon a 4x25G NRZ quad-carrier DWDM solution, offer options in C-band spectra, effectively spanning distances exceeding 80km. They aim to provide more cost-effective DWDM transmission solutions for Data Center Interconnects (DCI) and Metro Area Networks. Compared to traditional coherent solutions, this approach offers advantages such as lower pricing, lower power consumption, lower latency and easier deployment.

Figure 1 – 100G QSFP28 DWDM4 Products List

  • 4x 26Gbps NRZ per channel C-band 100GHz DWDM EML transmitter 48 wavelengths and PIN photo detector array receiver
  • Internal CDR circuits on both receiver and transmitter channels, support CDR bypass
  • Low power consumption<5W
  • Up to 80km reach for G.652 SMF with external Mux/ Demux, EDFA ,CD compensation
  • Up to 10km reach for G.652 SMF without external CD compensation
  • Single male MPO-12(APC 8-degree) connector receptacle

It achieves a total bandwidth of 1200G under dual-fiber transmission conditions and 400G under single-fiber conditions. It seamlessly connects to 100G QSFP28 switch ports, eliminating the need for traditional DWDM optical layer equipment.

  • Supports 4 channels of bidirectional 100G or unidirectional 100G business access.
  • Offers multiple customer-side business interfaces: 100G Base-SR4/CWDM4/LR4/PSM4.
  • Line side supports 2 channels of coherent CFP2 optical modules at 200G.
  • Enables DWDM transmission and wavelength conversion.
  • Utilizes SNMP-based unified network management platform.
  • Features CDR function for optimizing output and monitoring DDM signals.
  • Supports software-based port shutdown.
  • Up to 80km reach for G.652 SMF with external Mux/Demux,daul SOA
  • Up to 10km reach for G.652 SMF without external SOA
  • Low power consumption <5W
  • Single male MPO-12(APC 8-degree) connector receptacle

In a dual-fiber configuration, the module delivers a total network bandwidth of 400G. It can be directly inserted into a 100G QSFP28 switch port, eliminating the need for traditional DWDM optical layer equipment and dispersion compensation modules.
